A note from your Police Department:

The Police Department in conjunction with the Fire Department and the Emergency Management Department has sent out letters about a program to assist citizens in the event of a town wide emergency.  This program is called “Helpful Hands”. Membership forms were included.  This program is free and open to all residents of Newfields.

The Town of Newfields Board of Selectmen would like to remind motorists that the winter parking restrictions are November 15, 2008-April 1, 2009.  The hours of the ban are 6:00pm through 6:00am. 

The Town is asking all motorists to assist them in keeping the town roads open and safe throughout the winter months. 

In addition, the motor vehicle infraction fine schedule has gone up considerably from previous years. Click here to view the new fine schedule. There is also a new bicycle helmet law that requires all children under the age of 16 to wear a helmet while operating a bicycle on a way (RSA 265:144). The fine for violating this law is $28.80.
